An Italian-born artist from Vicenza based in Basel, works in parallel with her career as an architect at Vitra.

Working at the intersection of architecture, material research, and artisanal craftsmanship, she creates sculptural glass objects that reinterpret centuries-old glassmaking traditions through a contemporary lens.

Since 2015, alongside her architectural practice, Sattin has dedicated her research to the study of traditional glassblowing techniques, collaborating closely with master glassmakers in Italy and Switzerland.

Characterised by a balance of precision and spontaneity, Sattin’s objects highlight the inherent qualities of glass—its luminosity, fluidity, and unpredictability—resulting in pieces that are both minimal and deeply tactile. Each work is handcrafted, often revealing slight variations that reflect the authenticity of the glassblowing process.

Her works have been presented internationally at design and art events including DesignArt Tokyo, Design Miami/Basel, and Collectible Brussels, where her contemporary interpretation of traditional techniques positions her within a new generation of collectible design voices.
